Bat Mitzvah, graphite on Canson Mi tents paper, 19 x 25 inches.At 13 and after several years of studying Hebrew, this young woman symbolically is called from the congregation to read from a hand written, Hebrew scroll containing the first five books of the Hebrew Bible, sharing the words of her tradition with the congregation and taking her place among them as a young adult. A tradition at least 4,000 years old. What did you do today?

A tradition MAYBE 40 years old (OK, maybe 50, lol).
This is OBVIOUSLY "Reform", since Orthodox Judaism didn't even have a FORMAL Bat Mitzvah to begin with.

I was referring to the ceremony of young people being called to read from the Torah. You are correct, women were not people until a few years ago.

Women were never OBLIGATED to learn Torah on an occupational level.
They had other jobs to do anyways.
Judaism is way more feministic than any Feminazi could dream of.
They just keep confusing "clone roles" and "personal roles".
