I use mandelbulb 3d, it's a free program which is available here at fractal forums [link] There are plenty of tutorials here on devart which will get you started and point you in the right direction, you'll find quite a lot here [link] I have also found that various artists are more than willing to give tips and offer help when you get stuck! Give it a go and have fun
