On this pic I made you can see two federation ships in combat with a Borg cube.I made this image using 3DS Max and added the "Visual FX" in Photoshop...
(Visual effects: phaserbeams, torpedoes, smoke FX, damage to left nacelle of ship, sunbeams)

I must do this scene again... I finished this in 2003, I think and there are a few things I would do differently now... Like the blue-ish torpedoes, the way too dense green Borg beam

Excellent effects, it's always nice to see some that are actually used PROPERLY.
