Twitter | Instagram | Gallery | Buy me a Ko-fi? The wait is finally over; Animal Crossing: New Horizons is now available to play! It really feels like yesterday when it was announced back in E3 2019. I've been interested in the series since I played New Leaf, though Wild World was my first experience.

I wanted to try a different approach to my artwork this time. At first it was originally going to be what is basically a 'scanned resolution' of the photograph, but I wondered about the space that was open in the artwork. When I made the artwork a photograph, I realized something: this'll be the mayor's departure from New Leaf to New Horizons, and the photograph indicates that they have left their town to a new island, and has sent this photo as a memento.

I'm starting to get better and understand scenic backgrounds more. I especially wanted the background to be curved, so it can give a more dynamic look and represent the fact that the games are all on a cylinder world. This was more akin to previous games.

The way I'm drawing Isabelle is improving as well, I really want to draw more of her seeing as I love this cute doggy secretary.

I have actually completed this artwork beforehand, and waited for the right time to upload it. I even needed to check the work numerous times to see if I had missed anything, and the coffee wasn't originally there when I turned the drawing into a photograph. That said, the internet is completely empty now that the game is out and won't see my artwork whoops. Hope you like the artwork!
