Description In December Elin J "Orchidpussy" posted a challenge in her blog. "Draw and overweight person and make him/her fabulous!". As I am ALWAYS slow fullfilling challenges, it took me a while to get here, but here's my contribution!

I almost wish I'd drawn a man, though, because I normally draw girls of different sizes (as you will know if you've looked through my DA gallery), but all my men är sort of slim and stuff... hm!

Sadly som of the shading on her skin dissapeared in the scanner. Still, my new scanner results in much nicer marker-scans, don't you think?

I love the shading of the dress. It has a completely different texture than that of the stockings. If I could touch her nylon-clad legs, I imagine them to be smooth and silky. Definately 80 denier quality! Now I come off as a total pervert, making love to the thought of ....tightly....packed...calves

Her face looks very lovable and kind at first glance, but then I notice a certain devilish grin spreading on her lips. She is confident both in face and body pose. Maybe her right arm (well, left arm viewed from our perspective) is a little thick, regarding the angle. It's supposed to be behind her back, right? I rarely manage to make my pictures anatomically correct, but I thought that you might care.

Well done, anyway. I think you met the challenge criteria!

I'm glad it worked, one problem with markers is that surfaces tend to look the same, but here I used to different kind of markers for the dress and the stockings, and different ways of doing the strokes

You're right about the arm! It might be that it looks wider than I meant for it to be. The inner line of her arm would be just behind the contour of her dress, but not having it show at all makes the arm look wider... hm! There is shading on the arms that didn't come out in the scan, I don't know if that would make a difference.

Thank you It's lovely getting such long comments!

Hmm..maybe the shades could give her arm more of a 3D feel, which would be a good thing, I suppose... Nu blev det svårt att förklara, men om du kollar på hennes handled så går det ett streck där - testa att fortsätta på det strecket snett upp tills det når klänningen - då kanske man kan ana hur armen fortsätter bakom klänningen.

She's terribly cute. ^^
Also, very nice with the red details.
