COOL!! When I saw the promo for the new Spiderman costume at first my response was O.o .....so I guess I didn't care for it, didn't like it at all...but I'm looking forward to see how they changed the character, and how different it'll be from the other 3 Spiderman films. Your drawing is very well done though, actually for me it brings some justice to the new suit.

Hey thanks. I know why they did it... they needed to distance themselves from the other film, and I always thought the Rami version looked a bit cheap. This looks home made to me, like peter might have actually made it. And i like the legs as they were always a bit plain. And the back logo looks great. Movie's got a better cast AND they have real web shooters... should be good.

Oh, well that makes sense actually, the new cast and crew don't want to give the impression that they are stealing from the original films, so they make their own design, it is actually warming up to, I'm just so used to the original Spiderman outfit from the comics thaat when I saw it I was a bit shocked at the design. O.O they have actual web shooters?!? Not that idea of Peter having webbing coming out of his wrists? COOL!! I always liked the web shooters, because Peter Parker is supposed to be a genius, and being able to create those and a substance that is strong enough to hold his weight is very clever...in the other films I didn't get the impression that he was an above average intellegent person...hopefully we see that now!!

ya, that was always very cool about spider man. Peter was very talented long before he became spiderman. And as a kid, the mechanical web shooters made me want to be an inventor!

But don't even get me started. there were so many things i didn't like about the first spider-man movies. Fingers crossed for the new ones!

Yea, that's one of the reasons I like Spiderman/Peter Parker, he was a talented kid, but he was bullied because of it...makes him more human to the readers.

OHHHH...I think I want to get you started....what didn't you like about the first Spiderman movies?? One thing for me is the costume, I always wondered how he made it in his own home, when it looked like it was made from a costume designer, the webbings and spider logos that popped off the suit, plus the eyes...I never liked the Green Goblin design, there wasn't even a hint of the original design on that thing...And I HATED how Venom only had 15 minutes of screentime when he is supposed to be one of Spiderman's biggest enemies!! Then BAM!! he dies!! I could keep going, but I think it is your turn

ha, well, the only thing I REALLY liked about the first few films was J Jonah Jameson. He was perfect.

Venom was wasted for sure. Even the black costume. Wasted. That little evil-dance routine in the 3rd movie was one of the worst things i've ever seen in a film.

But even in the second film when he loses his powers because... he's sad??? Stupid.

BUT - Doc Oc... the only thing that kept his arms in control was a tiny chip balanced precariously on his back? Stupid.

In the first one, they were in high school for about 3 minutes before they were living in manhattan working... wha?

MJ was boring, Peter was sulky and one-note.

Green Goblin costume.. you're right. very poor.

I think also one of the biggest problems was Aunt May and Uncle Ben. ZERO character development anywhere. Much more hopeful about Martin Sheen and Sally Field. Great casting.

ARGH AAAHH RAGE... hahaha.

Oh yea, J Jonah Jameson was perfect, I would actually watch the movies just to hear his one-liners XD. JK Simmons was the perfect actor for him for sure. Ugh I hated the black suit, it didn't even resemble the one from the comics, I was hoping it would but that costume sucked. I would've loved to just have seen the birth of Venom in the third film then a fourth film would've been about Venom and have only one villian, not that 3 villian BS from the third film. Yea I always thought he lost his powers because he was losing his concentration when using them, but in the middle of a fight? I don't think so, you can't just lose it while you are in the moment like that. I hated MJ, she didn't like Peter in "that way" in the first film, until the end, then in the second film she's getting married and is looking like she is over Peter, UNTIL she discovers he's Spiderman then she's all over him, the third film she is jealous of his success because she's a failure and he's trying to make her feel better and she brushes him off and gets mad at every little thing he does...plus the whole "that was our kiss" thing, she didn't even know he was Spiderman when that kiss happened so it doesn't count. I hope to see some stronger roles for Aunt May and Uncle Ben that's for sure. End Rant lol

i'm with you. It just felt like the film makers skimmed the points of 40 years of comics and tried to sorta hit the major points regardless of character and progression. I don't think Sam Rami is a character director. he's more of a cartoon director (evil dead etc). Spiderman is probably the most character driven of any comic I've ever read.

It's funny because I actually like James Franco but HATED him as harry osborn.

Yea, the movie skipped that part that made Spiderman likeable and relatable, his humanity. I think they were just trying to put in all the big bad villians for Spidey to fight to make it eye catching for the viewer, as in "OHHH!! Look at the explosion!! OHH Spidey totally dodged that!!" But us Spidey fans like to see a bit of a character plot, something to make the characters grow as human beings, yea there was the whole "with great power comes great responsibility" fiasco, but that's about it, nothing after that.

UGH Harry Osborn just seemed like a whiney kid doing everything he could to gain the approval of others around him....a bit needy maybe lol.
