Believe it or not, there are still parts of Old US 40 still in existence and used by only a few and long forgotten by most. This was a major East - West road across this great counrty. The new ( at the time) US 40 is only a 1/4 mile away. A few live off of this short stretch of road. I wonder, when this old bridge gives out (its in real bad shape), how will the people on this road commute. I highly doubt that it will ever be replaced for the few that use it, and it should probably be condemned.
