I always had a thought that the sequel that is "suppose to be made eventually", should take place in present times. Along with Toon Town there is a town for videogame characters. The plot focuses on a descendant of Eddy. Alot of new cartoon characters from the past years are introduced such as Fred Flintstone all the way to Finn the human. There's so much to just pick up and run with for the next film...

If there really is a sequel to WFRR, maybe it would take place around the modern times (specifically around this time) and it would probably have characters from Nickelodeon and Cartoon Network.

Though it would rock to see a sequel, the likelihood of Disney and Warner Brothers teaming up again for a project of this magnatude is unlikelely -even with the advances in animation and computer graphics. Too bad, really.

Sorry, I think you're still confused. Spielberg and WB worked together on The Goonies and the run of great WB cartoons in the 90s, but it didn't go further than that. It wasn't a blanket deal; his production companies Amblin and Dreamworks work with all the major studios on a variety of projects. WFRR was Disney, and WB had no reason to be involved.
I do hope they agree to let their characters be used as they did the first time around. I wonder if Freakazoid and Pinky & the Brain would become residents of Toontown in a sequel?

No, I'm sure that WB was involved, if not directly then certainly indirectly because Amblin Entertainment was responsible for the live action films and as a result allowed their characters to be used (or else Bugs wouldn't appear) while Disney was responsible for the animation (which is why Mickey appeared)
So while I may not have everything correct officially, I am sure that I am not confused about who was involved.

I hope they really do make another. I don't like the sound of CGI being used in it, but after waiting for a sequel for twenty damn, long years I am so desperate that at this point I'll take anything as long as Roger is in it.

I've heard of that rumor before... I'm not sure what to think, though, ahaha. Without Richard Williams or all the original voices, it'd be too wierd for me. And i don't doubt that they'd resort to dependence on computers for the animation... haha, well, I guess we'll just have to seeee! :Y
