Featuring Arslan and Azrael.

When I initially decided to start doing some fanart, this is the first project I thought of. The Heroic Legend of Arslan (or Arslan Senki) is a current personal favorite. I love the story and characters, and general attention to detail (setting aside why Arslan's hair is longer when in a ponytail than out... ((why??))).

I plotted this page while awaiting the second season, Dust Storm Dance, and now am getting it up... after it has ended... (whoever thought up 8 episode seasons should be drug out into the street and shot!)

I wanted to show this young man's resolve, and him rising above his enemies in a regal way. I also reeeaaally wanted to draw his armor.

I dreaded drawing Azrael...
