new... no question... for a number of reasons

its the little changes, stance, construction, expression, details... it all adds up to a picture which although similar shows true development in skill and style... nice piece

Her right upper arm is a little short. I know you were trying to give some perspective, but it looks stumpy.

Aside from that, most everything else looks great. I like the shading.

Excellent character. I believe the newer (foreground) is better for these reasons. The overall composition hasn't changed how ever the details on the character overall are better defined. Also the minor shadeing and line touch ups look very nice. I also like how you took the same pose and actually rotated her a bit to give her a more interesting pose.
