The path was irritatingly lit, yet America walked along side England with what could almost be deemed as a smirk. Messing with Britain always got him riled.

Only how would he nag this time?

There was a silence, the only sound being their shoes clicking against the concrete, finally broken by:

"Not much got done today man, would have thought you would have stepped in but no!"

His voice chimed too loud over and back through the walls.

US checked England's reaction. "Leave it to me next time, won't you?"

A frazzled sounding sigh escaped the boy opposite him, nearly weary, worn with frustration. It was triumph in whole seizing up America's inner.

"If I do recall, you were the one with the fool-proof plan... Weren't you?"

"A hero needs support, bro."

A second sigh, fuel for the fire.

"Next time, you come up with the plan, and just give me all the credit."

Third time, apparently the charm. England absently stepped up along a long stretched bench to indirectly increase his height.

"I don't think so, kiddo."

America laughed in spite of the makeshift nickname before suddenly becoming face to face with UK.

Freeze. This was backwards. A murmur rose.

"Must you always wear those ridiculous glasses? A bruise on the bridge of my nose isn't necessarily what I consider attractive."

They vanished almost instantaneously, black and lens slipping out of sight into the jacket pocket of his bomber.

Instinct.

Shapes in front of him blurred, but the vague outline of UK hazed in front of him, close, yet not close enough.

All for the sake of a kiss.
