Huge Eyebrows… I mean Hanamiya Makoto

(M/n) grinned at his own inside-joke. Even though it was obvious he had made that joke a lot of times, to him it was still funny. Hanamiya scowled slightly, knowing what was coming.

“Hello my largely eyebrowed-bro,” (M/n) said, an evil grin on his face. “How’s life with those caterpillars on your face?” Hanamiya kept silent, knowing that if he answered, he’d probably start a fight between them. Which (M/n) would win. Hanamiya may be smarter, but (M/n) was surely stronger, and had quite an explosive temper. (M/n) especially hated it when someone out-smarted him, even though he would be more reasonable if it was his little brother. Still not much, but still more reasonable then for anyone else.

“Let’s go aniki,” Hanamiya stated, walking away, knowing his brother would follow him. (M/n) smirked, but did as he was told. (M/n) grinned, when he saw that some of the older students recognised him. They almost ran away from him. In the meanwhile also some of the teachers recognised him. They greeted him with a smile. They seemed happy he was back. How could they not? In his time he was a respected member of the school’s student counsel and of course vice-captain of the basketball club. Though unlike his little brother he never wanted the first place, never wanted to be the president or captain. He could control everything better if he wasn’t. Hanamiya saw the same as his older brother and grinned. He was quite proud that his big brother’s reputation was still standing, especially since he was the cause of that.

The rest of the Kirisaki Daichi basketball team looked up when their coach and his brother walked into the gym. Except Seto, who was sleeping. Hara looked at the older male, blowing a bubble with his gum.

“So this’s your brother, captain?” he asked. “He doesn’t look like you.” The two brothers looked at each other. Hanamiya’s face looked bored, since he knew, again, what was coming.

“It’s the eyebrows isn’t it?” (M/n) asked Hara. Hara’s bubble popped, he was kind of surprised  that (M/n) dared to say something like that. Especially since Hanamiya looked annoyed by it. Then (M/n) raised an eyebrow. “What’s wrong with your hair by the way?”  he asked, trying to look at Hara’s eyes. “It looks..-“

“Can we start practise already?” Furuhashi interrupted the older male’s speech. (M/n) turned around, a disturbing look on his face. Hanamiya sighed. He had told his team members not to anger his brother, by either outsmarting him or interrupting him. Guess that wasn’t going to work.

“No, fishface. We’re not going to start,” (M/n) walked closer to Furuhashi, until he was looming over the basketball player. “Got something against that?” His muscles tensed, causing him to look even bigger than normal.

“Easy aniki,” Hanamiya interrupted. “He’s important in your strategy, so don’t hurt him.”

“His strategy?” Hara asked, interested. “Does that mean he thought of our current strategy? How did he do that? He doesn’t look that smart…”

“Aniki, you’ve to help me,” a small Hanamiya demanded, tugging on his older brother’s shirt. The older brother had a basketball in his hands and looked down on the small boy.

“What?” he asked. Hanamiya only answered by pointing at a group of older boys standing nearby. They were holding on onto a very familiar basketball, Hanamiya’s. (M/n) glared, he looked extremely mad. He then looked back at his little brother. “Watch and learn Mako” he said, an evil grin stretching across his face. “Watch and learn.”

Only a couple of minutes later, (M/n) handed Hanamiya his basketball back. The older guys were littered with bruises, two of them had sprained their legs and one of them had a wrist that looked like it was broken or at least heavily bruised. Still all spectators hadn’t seen anything bad in (M/n)’s way of playing. The only ones knowing were the two brothers and the other players.

“You get it now?” (M/n) asked his little brother. Hanamiya grinned and nodded. (M/n) nodded once. “Good and what do we do now?” Hanamiya understood what his older brother was getting at and nodded again. Simultaneously the two brothers turned to the other players and stuck out their tongues.

“Yeah, something like that,” (M/n) said, nodding when he remembered that faithful day. He had been really proud on his little bro. He was even prouder when Hanamiya mimicked his basketball skills and used them in games without getting caught.

“The only time aniki taught me something,” Hanamiya said. (M/n) shrugged. He didn’t care that his little brother was smarter than him, as long as he didn’t use it against him.

“Yeah, that’s how it’s always been,” (M/n) muttered. “You’re the brain, I’m the brawn. You trap them in the spider’s web and I crush them to death.” Both brothers grinned at each other. The other team members looked at in slight shock. Hara’s bubble popped again.

“Did you all just feel a shiver go down your spine…?”

I'm glad. Because that's exactly what I wanted to achieve by putting those phrases at the end.
So I'm glad you like it :3
