Hayakawa… Mitsu-..hiro….

A lazy smile spread across (m/n)’s face, when he saw his little brother almost sprinting over. Hayakawa was all fired up for practise, that much was clear. He was already dressed in his basketball uniform, a basketball tucked beneath his arm. Like he had just remembered that he had to pick up his older brother.

“NII!!” Hayakawa shouted. With his loud voice he startled some of the students that were leaving the school’s grounds. (M/n) blinked sleepily. “LET’S GO! OTHERWISE WE WILL BE LATE!!” All his r’s and L’s were getting mixed up and some parts of the sentence were unintelligible. (M/n) still nodded. While he did so, his head fell forward, before rolling back to the original position. The older brother let out a huge yawn, stretching, before putting one of his arms forward. Hayakawa took his older brother’s arm in his hand. Just as (M/n)’s eyes began to close, Hayakawa started pulling him along, roughly. Students looked at the two. The young brother running at immense speed, with his older brother literally towing behind him. (M/n) couldn’t even keep up, so he just tried to relax and let him get pulled along.

Kaijo’s team looked up when the doors opened with a huge slam. Hayakawa ran inside, pulling along, who Kaijo assumed was, his big brother. When inside, Hayakawa let go of his brother’s arm , resulting in the older brother lying on the floor, and just joined the others in shooting practise. Most of the team looked in worry when (M/n) just kept lying on the floor, instead of standing up and sitting on one of the benches.

“Is.. he dead?” Kise asked the upperclassmen.

“I hope not,” Nakamura stated. Kasamatsu glanced at the body lying on the floor.

“Don’t worry about that guy,” he stated harshly. Kise flinched at his captain’s voice.

“But Kasamatsu-senpai… What if he needs our help?” he asked. Kasamatsu huffed, before going back to practise, leaving Moriyama to answer. Moriyama smiled at the younger team members.

“Who you see there is Hayakawa (M/n), an old student of Kaijo,” suddenly his face turned dark, glaring at the body lying on the floor from the corner of his eyes. “Also the laziest, sleepiest, most inactive center you will ever meet.”  Suddenly the body moved, getting the  team’s attention. The older members looking at the body with hopeful eyes. That hope changed into anger when the body only moved a bit, but kept lying.

“At… at least he’s not dead…” Kise said hesitatingly, trying to lift the mood.

“He’ll be soon if he doesn’t move,” Kasamatsu growled. Kise saw the body freeze when Kasamatsu had said that. Long arms started to move up. The team kept staring as the older brother tried to move himself, using his arms to pull himself forward. An irritated expression soon appeared on Kasamatsu’s face.

“GO FASTER, YOU IDIOT!” Without any hesitation, he kicked the older male, causing (M/n) to roll towards the wall at enormous speed. The team flinched when they heard the male crash into the wall. Their uneasiness was soon replaced with disbelief when they heard soft snores coming from the older male.

“(M/n)-senpai,” Kise shook the older male back and forth, trying to wake him up. “Do you want something to drink?” (M/n) only replied with soft snores. Kise tried again. Again (M/n) didn’t reply.

“NII!!” Hayakawa suddenly shouted, startling Kise. (M/n) moved his head a bit, his eyes opening slightly. Hayakawa signalised Kise to try again. Kise cleared his throat.

“Do you want something to drink?” He asked again. (M/n) didn’t reply. He had fallen asleep… again.

“DO YOU WANT SOMETHING TO DRINK!!!???!” Kise jumped slightly at the loud voice of the second year. (M/n) opened his eyes again and nodded slowly, before standing up. Kise handed the older male some water, before talking to the rest of the team. The team was talking about the upcoming match against Seirin. After a while Kasamatsu decided to see what the older male had to see about their tactic. He turned his head to look at (M/n).

“(M/n), what do you think abou-“ He cut himself off, an irritated expression appearing on his face. “Are you kidding me?!”

“What?” Nakamura asked, looking at the older male. The older male’s eyes were opened, but his head hung a bit backwards, in unnatural position. Nakamura furrowed his eyebrows. “Did… did he fall asleep… standing?”

“But his eyes are open,” Kise objected. The blond walked over to (M/n), poking his arm slightly. This small movement, caused the male to fall on the floor. “I KILLED HIM!!”

“IDIOT, HE’S STILL ASLEEP!!”

“REBOUND!!!” Hayakawa shouted when he jumped up to catch the ball. Just as he did, the whistle, signalising the end of practise, was heard. Hayakawa started shouting, because he didn’t want to end practise, but nobody could understand him. Suddenly a ball shot past them, almost hitting Hayakawa in the face.

“Piss off, little bro,” A dark aura was surrounding (M/n). He was standing up, walking towards Hayakawa. His drowsiness could be detected in his voice. “I’m trying to sleep.”

“SHUT UP! YOU LAZY ASSHOLE!!” This comment started a shouting war between the brothers. Both were spouting out words that the others couldn’t understand. It ended when Hayakawa challenged his big brother for a one-on-one.

“Wh-what just happened?” Kise asked. The other teammates were just as confused.

“It seems (M/n)-senpai isn’t happy about being woken up by his brother…” Moriyama muttered. Kasamatsu only sighed looking at the older brother.

“Why was he never this active when he was on the team?”

....Good question...
I say Basketball magic.
And maybe that his seniors quickly discovered that kicking repeatedly wakes him up and he didn't want to hurt all over after one practise.
But still Basketball magic sound much more logical.
