Izuki Pun… Eh… Shun!

“Shun!” (M/n) exclaimed happily, waving at his little brother walking closer. Izuki smiled too. Hyuuga and Kiyoshi were walking near him. They looked at (M/n), trying to figure out his personality. Or at least Hyuuga was.

“Hey, onii-san,” Izuki greeted his brother. Before he could say anything else, (M/n) was hugging him tightly. “Le-let me go,” Izuki tried to say. (M/n) was a bit surprised, but let go. He awkwardly rubbed the back of his head.

“Sorry, little one,” he muttered. “I guess I was a bit too enthusiastic.”

“Well, let’s go,” Hyuuga stated. “Before Riko lets us train to death.”

(M/n) was quickly introduced to the rest of the team. While they were practising, he was sitting on one of the benches, reading a book. He occasionally glanced at his practising brother, and sometimes he jotted something down in a notebook. The team members walked over to the bench when Riko whistled for a five minute break. They took their bottles of water and some started talking.

“So, Izuki-senpai… what are you reading?” Koganei asked. (M/n) looked up from his book with a smile.

“It’s a book about anti-gravity,” he answered. Koganei smiled nervously, not knowing what to say.

“Oh.. ehm.. is it interesting?” he asked. Suddenly a sly smile appeared on (M/n)’s face.

“Oh yes… I would like to say it’s impossible to put down,” he said. A proud smile was on his face. He deflated slightly when Koganei didn’t seem to get his pun.

“ahahaaha, nii-san, that’s so lame!” Izuki suddenly started laughing. (M/n) smiled a sly smile. Meanwhile the others were looking at them with a confused expression. Only Hyuuga seemed slightly pissed off.

“You know little bro, they’re finally making a movie about clocks,” (M/n) suddenly stated, causing Izuki to stop his laughter. (M/n) sounded completely serious.

“Really?” Izuki asked. He had never heard something like that. “About clocks?” (M/n) nodded, but suddenly cracked a smile.

“Yeah, finally, it’s about time,” he stated, causing Izuki to start laughing again. (M/n) opened his mouth to tell more bad jokes and puns, but Hyuuga punched his arm to silence him.

“Shut up, idiot,” Hyuuga stated. (M/n) groaned in pain and rubbed his arm. He pouted at the other, before a sparkle appeared in his eyes, signalising he had thought of another pun.

“That wasn’t a very good punchline,” he said, snickering at his own joke. Hyuuga only shot him a glare.

“Shut up, or I’ll give you another punchline.”

“Yes sir!”

“So you’re the one who has introduced Izuki-senpai to the world of bad jokes?” Kuroko asked, looking at the older brother. (M/n) nodded.

“Most of our family is very much into puns, so it was inevitable, but yeah, I taught him some,” he answered. “Still we were surprised when he did tell his first pun. I still remember his first pun, like it was yesterday.”

It was just a small family gathering. Izuki was drawing something, his other siblings were playing outside. After a while (M/n) walked inside and started drawing something else. After a while they got the adults’ attention.

“What are you two drawing?” their mother asked. (M/n) showed her his drawing of (favourite animal).

“I drew us!” Izuki exclaimed showing her the drawing. On it were his parents, his sister and of course (M/n). Everyone was drawing as good as a small boy could, only (M/n) was looking a bit off.

“Shun…?” Their mother asked. “What is that?” She pointed at the figure that was supposed to be (M/n), but looked more like an egg.

“That’s onii-san!” Izuki answered happily. (M/n) looked surprised at the drawing.

“You see me as an egg?” he asked, confused. Izuki nodded. “With sunglasses…?” Again a nod. (M/n) tried to keep in his laughter. “Why?”

“Because…” Izuki started, putting the piece of paper down. “I think you’re… eggcellent!” He managed to do some cute jazz-hands. (M/n) was silent for a couple of minutes, even though a proud smile was on his face. Still it worried Izuki a bit. “Onii-san, are you alright?” (M/n) snapped out of his trance. He nodded.

“Yeah, your joke just left me scrambled.”

“Oh, yeah, that was a good joke,” Izuki stated, remembering it. Hyuuga rolled his eyes while trying to keep in his irritation. He swore that if he heard one more pun from either of the brothers, he would dump them in the most nearby pond.

“Izuki, go back to practise,” Riko suddenly exclaimed. “We need our Eagle-eye!” Izuke looked apologetic at his brother.

“I’ve to go, they need me,” he said, before jogging over to the team. (M/n) smiled.

“Eye am sure you’ll do Eyesome!” he said, giving his brother a thumbs-up. His smile fell when he felt Hyuuga glaring at him. “Wh-what’s wrong captain? Did I hit an optic nerve?” Before he could do anything else Hyuuga was pulling him along, not letting him go.

“Don’t wait for me, I’m just going to the most nearby pond.”
