Description
OH GOD, WHAT HAVE I DONE???Ahem... So, While rigging a model of Ruby Rose (from RWBY) that I'm doing for MMDFuph ... I completely neglected to check the model in MMD and as I decided to open it to test the hair physics I just added... This is what happened.
I have literally no idea what I did wrong in order for the model to turn out like this in MMD.
I checked the old file of the model before I started working on it (I keep those for peace of mind if something goes wrong), and it was fine. I do not want to start over again, since I spent a hell of a long time getting the not far off 60 facials right and creating some bones for the skirt and hair and rigging those... I don't want all that work to be for nothing.
I really want to know if there's any way of fixing this so I don't have to start over. I have no idea what happened to cause this. The model opens up just fine in the editor I use.
I couldn't even find any hidden vertices which may have caused this. So... I'm stumped.
This doesn't happen often, but I have no idea how I can fix this. If anyone knows, please tell me.
UPDATE:
I was having a look through the functions of the version of PMXeditor which I was using and completely by chance, I managed to find out how to fix this. That should be something to remember for future reference...

I'm genuinely having the exact same problem as of now with a model I just edited.
Everything appears to be fine until the model is loaded into MMD.
Any idea on what you actually did to solve this? qwq

First, can you tell me the version of PMD/PMX editor you use? Just so I can assess whether I can give you the help you need. The functions vary, depending what version you use.

It's probably a pretty old version of PMX Editor, but I can't be certain. ¯\_(ツ)_/¯
If it's any use, the containing folder is named PMDEditor_0136
I've been using the software for five years and I still haven't mastered it lmao

Ah, damn, that's not a version that I have. >.< or can use.

Aah, I see. ;w;
No worries, I ended up solving the problem through a different way.
Thanks for your time.

Maybe it's a bone issue? Looks like something in the hand edge that's causing the bulge that was mirrored to the other side.

I'm not sure if that's the issue...
But if that is the case, would you know how to repair it?

Sadly, my 3D modeling editing knowledge is limited. Best thing I could suggest is trial and error of removing vertices around the problem area and importing into MMD. Check the right ear after as well for the same issue.

I found out how to fix it in the end. I don't know what the problem was, but at least I now know how to fix it. XD

would hate for it to go to waste this model looks like the one they actually use in RWBY

Hmm...
Perhaps it's something to do with weighting? Weighting of the vertices? I have absolutely no idea how MMD works at all, but maybe you can check the weighting around the bones of the thumbs and the head? Try shifting between whatever modes MMD has to see if anything's different? I don't know. XD

If it was the weighting to the bones, then the problem would only show when the model is posed. This is the default pose as the model is opened. But I did check the rigging when this happened just to be sure.

...Did you happen to scale the model at any point? It could probably have something to do with that, because the three points sticking out seem to be lining up to the center in between the feet.
