Hi! I love this photo and I honestly have no idea how you had the balls to pull this off (personally, I'm terrified of heights). It's amazing!

looks so cool! A little disorienting, not just because of the vertigo sensation but also because if I'm imagining it in first person, it's upside-down from what it should be.

I really respect what you do. I love to explore my neighborhood all the time, on foot, longboard, whatever. I wish I could go on an urban expedition with you!

Are you actually up this high or is this a photo manipulation?

This is an actual picture from 57 stories up. It looks slightly surreal because of the faux-HDR process I did.

Three things. 1. That's awesome. 2. Get the fuck down before you kill yourself. 3. I'm going to go play Mirror's Edge now.

Thanks! Though I'd say this is my way of being zen rather than daring

Well then, if you consider yourself that way; that's your perspective. But, seriously the picture reminds me of nightmares I would have of being on the edge of either a building or cliff and then I'm about to fall or I am just totally lost

I know...but my brain would refuse to think so rational to trust some lousy straps in a moment like that xD

Up above
The world so high
Like a bird in disguise
A watcher wise
He stares down
at the blinded town
Marveling the beauty
as it's his duty.
Hehe this came to my mind as I was looking at the photo. I am afraid of heights, so I get really impressed by people who are not a bothered to sit on the edge of something way to high above the solid ground. Bravo!

Why didn't you rotate the picture to make it a first-person-view?

MildlyReactive In reply to Lostonpurpose [2012-12-08 18:32:16 +0000 UTC]
It was originally first person view, but I find putting the viewer over the edge has more impact

Thanks! They're my medium duty adventure shoes. Good for most terrain and fairly waterproof. I love them

The angle in this is absolutely spectacular. The colours are really cool, too... were they naturally arty like that?

Thanks! I bumped the saturation a bit, but it was mostly like that

All of the safety training that has been drilled into my head after years working for a safety company suddenly went on high alert.
Yet the artist in me is all "ooooo pretty".
