I'd guess it's a (hoisting) crane.
The controller stick sort of looks like it, and the cabin is way to square to be any chopper i have seen (and i have seen a lot of em).

Not exactly super lucky, you'd be surprised how often construction equipment is not locked up. A lot of then don't
even have door locks, and guys leave the keys in the ignition all the time.

I keep thinking of this random supervillain whenever I see this, sitting high above the city in his secret tower lair, looking down at all those building and people, and vowing one day the city will be his to control.
Throw in a metaphor about people being ants and you get the picture.

Well, two actually. One on each side of the cabin (The one on the right is just above the green light). There's even multiple red buttons. If that isn't an evil zeppelin of doom, I don't know what is. xD

Haha! I never looked at it that way. The idea behind it is that I'm retaking control over myself in a constricted world, where you need permission to do anything. Rooftopping as reality hacking, to reclaim at least a little bit of freedom. I might need to add this to the description. Thanks!

Something these urban photographers should be aware of when getting into unusual locations.
I still enjoy seeing these kind of shots though, which makes me wonder if that other guy had a DA?
