I recently got this Sonic 3D Chess thingy,I've never played chess before, nor do i know the rules
(don't blame me is they aren't in a real checkmate position!)
Sonic is supposed to be the King,
Amy the queen,
the rings are the pawns,
the chaos emerald the Towers,
Tails the Knight
and... i forgot what Knuckles is supposed to be xDD
The idea behind this is that Sonic agreed to go on a date if Amy managed to beat him, and so she did.
What will happen next?

I've seen this set before, let me help you out:
Sonic = King
Amy = Queen
Knuckles = Bishop
Tails = Knight (or 'Horse' to those who don't know the most basic of chess terms, *cough Lazysketcher cough*)
Chaos Emeralds = Rooks or Castles, not "Towers" as you've called them
Rings = Pawns
You can take my word on these as I own at least 10 different chess sets
