Man, that's like the only thing i loved about Bambis father. He surely was very playfully competitive with Bambi which was really adorable. <3

Disney just doesnβt see any full potential for stag Bambi. Like he even had a father and son thing going on in the original book during his adulthood. Like for his childhood itβs his mother who cares for him, but in his adulthood the torch would be essentially passed to the Old Prince(believed to be his father) to be around for him more often. Where he even has Bambi learn what he knows about the hunters. In the film, Great Prince barely has as much appearances(not counting Bambi 2 cause that came 64 years later to late).
