Description
If you m8s don't get it, its a parody of that comic made by Owlturd. A well-known comic-artist that draws formulatic relatable stuff.He has been a meme for a long while now but this new comic he made regarding (and pretty much to cope with) his content getting shared all over the internet without credit and/or got stolen in particular blew up a few days ago due to his potrayal of the situation he complained about.
-> knowyourmeme.com/memes/my-bike…
Here's his original post -> owlturd.com/post/167461344084
So, here's my perspective of this situation.
You see, I don't hate the guy despite his posts getting oversaturated and are everywhere i go and i get what he's trying to say.
Something about "Its great to let things go for the greater good/people's happiness and/or its alright if i'm bummed as long as they're happy" or whatever but uhh.. i think he presented it incorrectly and his way too simplistic view on theft and happiness in general is not making it any better. (either that or he kind of missed a point-)
I mean really, he compares his online comics that he can make more of to his bike, something you buy with your income and use as a transportation irl.
Come on now, its not like you have or can make a bunch load of bikes at home.
And the optimist mindset of "Its alright if this guy did something bad to me, as long as they're happy my feelings don't matter" is just... not healthy.
You don't get happy and just plain let it go when your stuff is stolen by someone else. That's not how it works. (unless the thing that get stolen is not that worthy or precious to you)
At least try to do something about it first. And if you fail to get it back after you tried, thats when you have to let it go.
I personally am fine with people sharing my art without credit even, happens all the time on Pinterest.
But i'm not fine with people who claims that they drew/own it and when i do find them, i'd give'em a piece of my mind.
Well, thats my two cents regarding the probably theft situation..?
And no, irl my notebook's not stolen. Hopefully never in the future.

I haven't thought of it that way before... I mean, it makes sense to want to hunt down something so important to you.
I've lost art before, some of it was stuff I worked HOURS on, but after I've found out what happened to it I tend to think of it in the sense of 'Okay, so you took my drawing and claimed it as your own... now what?'
In the end I can just take the time to draw something else that's possibly better and they end up stuck with higher (or lower since it's mine) expectations from the viewers they have that they'll need to meet later.
