Rochu version The Phantom of The Opera .I reviewed this movie yesterday and found that Ivan should be the suitable to play the role of Phantom, so I made this pic.

You made my day! One of my favourite stories and my one of my favourite pairings. 
It is true! Ivan looks so elegant, dark, romantic (a little insane) and devoted to Yao . He could be the perfect Phantom! and Yao fits nicely in the role of Christine (Maybe because he could be great for the opera of Pekin) He looks so beautiful and fragile in IvanΒ΄s strong arms. Simply perfect!!
By the way, I love the way you draw their corporal language in every single image you made of this pairing!

yes I couldn't agree more with your point. Ivan's kind of insane, keeping the fake figure of Yao, well, is quite what he will do I think.
But there is one thing baffles me. You said Ivan is devoted to Yao...how come?

Oh, I think that because (in a quite twisted way) Ivan is always looking around Yao and taking care about him. This picture reminds me that idea.

ThatΒ΄s so true! In the series Ivan is such a cute stalker, but itΒ΄s easy to me to imagine him in The Phantom of the Opera as the "dark angel" of Yao-Christine.
Turandot is one of my favourite operas!! It could be wonderful to portrait this similitude in an image.

I was to draw Raoul as Alfred, he's kind of similar with that role, isn't he? But then I realized England may be good at this type of character...but my friend insisted that Al should be Raoul.

Funnily enough, Arthur was the first to come to mind for the role of Raoul for me. I can see Alfred as Raoul, but Arthur would have more determinism to save Christine!Yao xDD

The way I see it, from a historical point of view England was quite obsessed with China and was very jealous of Russian expansion into northern China. In the same way, in Phantom of the Opera Raoul's obsession with Christine,though sidelined by the phantom's own obsession with Christine, is a deciding point to cast Arthur as Raoul <3 But that's just my thought xD
