Description
The Zacate Grande volcano is a stratovolcano that forms a volcanic island of the same name, in the Gulf of Fonseca, between El Salvador, Honduras and Nicaragua. Although the volcano is close to the "fonseco" coast of El Salvador, the island and the volcano belong to Honduras, along with Isla del Tigre, and it is also a unique place, as the island of Zacate Grande is surrounded by villages and lakes, in addition to dense forests that grow even on the structure of the volcano, the reason for this is because the volcano has been extinct since its last eruption, which is a mystery. The island remains connected to Central America through a bridge, on which cars can travel to the island.
