CAE = Calling All Engines!

One thing that felt odd in Calling All Engines! was Diesel 10. I already went over this in a journal, so I'll just give the link to it here for those who haven't read it yet; Why I Think Diesel 10 Works Best as a One-Off

I think D199 (or Spamcan) would have been a better choice for Diesel 10's role here had Super Rescue been adapted. The engines would be shocked to see him back on Sodor, and Sir Topham Hatt would explain that he brought D199 back to help with some of the engines' normal jobs while they helped with the construction of the airport. And when the airport is finished, Thomas has to take one last train before the grand opening can start. However, the train is really heavy and all the engines are already at the airport. Then Thomas remembers D199 and manages to ask him to help with the heavy train. D199 accepts and they make their way to the airport. And on the way, D199 explains to Thomas about how he changed since his last visit to Sodor. And they soon become friends. At the airport, all the engines are very surprise to see Thomas and D199 work together, but they soon realize that D199, while he may still be grumpy, really has changed and has more respect for steam engines. And Sir Topham Hatt decides to let D199/Spamcan stay on Sodor.
