Description Gentlemen, BEHOLD!! Mah 10th deviation on this new account! ^_^

So I looked up some tuts on YouTube and decided to try my hand at the South Park style. It's my first attempt at it. Took me about an hour and a half, but I pulled it off ^_^
I think this drawing turned out great, save for a few things: I had a bit of trouble getting Lanette's bangs right, and my attempt at a 3/4 angle on her accidentally made her look kinda pudgy @_@.

Nevertheless, here's Lanette practicing a wand-based spell in her backyard. This is the only "attack" spell she knows how to do with her wand, it's effects are similar to a Force Push. Emitting a focused pressure-wave beam that spreads out and dissipates the further the beam travels (a sort of shotgun pattern). Spellcasting in this manner is a well-hidden talent of her's. Though she may occasionally threaten people with her wand (Such as with Cartman in AoM: Act 3), she never actually uses it unless she absolutely has to (ie. life-threatening situations). But just like any other talent, one has to either use it or lose it, so once in awhile she does practice.

Other wand-based spells that Lanette knows:
-An effect that causes her wand to give off a white glow from it's tip, that does nothing else short of lighting one's way in darkness.
-A mild barrier spell. It only protects her from the front, and is invisible unless something hits it. She can't use any other spell while defending this way.
-What? You thought there was more? Nahhh, she's only nine years old people. It'll be a looong time before she can get to a skill-level akin to even Damien. (That and I also don't want her being a Sue)

Credits
-The South Park style belongs to the world...but mostly Matt and Trey.
-The bottles pictured are a Googled image I copied and rotated multiple times cuz I'm lazy.
-Lanette belongs to me, but fanart is always appreciated.
-And last but not least, Paint.NET.

Again... Scottish accent.
Kicks ass.

*reads description*
*knows nothing about spells or anything*

1. Lanette is kewl.
2. Good job with the opacity on the bottle behind the, uh, *scratches head* spell zappy thing.
3. I've found that, in terms of sizing the body correctly, in kids, the body is usually around the same size as the head, and it's wider from the front than the side. Don't know if that helps or not...
4. The head/hair/hat all look excellent.
5. SP characters are easiest to draw face-on. I don't know if I've ever done an SP-style 3/4 angle piece before... it looks hard! Since you're just beginning, maybe starting with head-on pictures would help.

I reviewed-ed it!

Oh, and to put it simply, the spell in the picture is a force push, it just throws things backwards. If you ever played Fable 2 or watched Star Wars, it's kinda like that.

Yeah, I'm such a nerd xD

Hehe~ ^^

That's okay. It's what research is for. Learn new things everyday and such. If you want I can note you some links :3

2. Thanks, the program I use supports transparency and layering effects. It's fun taking advantage of that
3. Ah I see, interesting. *keeps that in mind* ^^
5. Yeah, kinda figured. I'll do that in future pics till I get better at it.

Thanks for the feedback as always <3
