Description I FINALLY have a design for Dragsooth that I'm happy with, I've tried many different attempts over the years but now I've found one that I think has a good balance of features without looking too similar to Ignitus or Spyro, or looking too unique and special.

here's some examples of old attempts at her design (link)

I've been imagining how the dragons on the elemental level up screens in the first two TLOS games could have looked or behaved since I first saw them, and now I'm trying to get how I imagined them in my head onto paper. So first is Dragsooth, the attack named after them is called "Dragsooth's Fire Blast of the Eternal Inferno".
I like to imagine this dragon was the first to truly tap into their elemental potential, through constant training and meditation they managed to concentrate their flame breath into a long and deadly blast of fire. Before this it was expected that warrior dragons that focused on their element would reach stage two mentioned on the elemental wheel if they practiced hard enough, but Dragsooth turned breathing fire into an art form, both beautiful, deadly and hopeful in those dark times.

I decided I wanted to make Dragsooth female, mostly because the tlos games only have like three female characters if you count a talking wall, and one that actually matters to the plot, so it just felt right to make a character that I wanted to have a big historical impact on Spyro's world female. Speaking of historical impacts. (prepare for some terrible writing lmao)

Dragsooth would become the first dragon to be described as a master, and the first of the Guardians. During her youth she would lose her home, her family and her hope to one of the most brutal raids, at the time, of the ape armies. During this time in history the dragon race wasn't as connected as it would become, with dragons preferring to keep to their own elemental groups separate from each other. While Dragsooth wouldn't be the first to attempt this, that honour goes to Commander Warfang, she was the first to be successful in uniting the dragons together. It was Commander Warfang that inspired her to do this with his parting words to her, like him she would travel from place to place and try to unite the dragons, and while she may not have been successful at first, she would leave those places with a seed planted and with allies, some would even join her on her travels.

Those allies would be inspired by her teachings and begin to tap into their elemental potential themselves, and as the years passed and more dragons decided to join her they would all settle in one area and form a small community, the place where Dragsooth lost everything, the city of Warfang.

There's more to her story but I might save that for another time, or maybe I'll add it to here in the future idk man i'm tired.

Some other details

- While I haven't drawn it here, Dragsooth would always be seen carrying a book and scrolls, she made sure to note down everything she learned about the element of fire, the history of the dragon race and information on the spiritual side of the world so that the knowledge could be passed onto future generations.

- Her fire was described as a brilliant gold at it's brightest, and a warm orange at it's calmest.

- While she had a strong hatred towards the apes for what they did, viewing them as heartless monsters, as she traveled she would learn about their kind and her hatred for them would turn into a hatred for war.

-She was philosophical in nature and would constantly put her beliefs to the test. She was also curious about the origins of the world, life and the universe. This fascination would lead to her discovering important things about the aetherial parts of the universe.
