FINALLY ! After being submitted to the role of final smash, here he is ! What a surprise, I never thought that it will be added into the game !I'm also very glad about the coming of King K.Rool and Dark Samus, since the time that everyone was waiting for them ! About Simon and Richter, I am pleasantly surprised of their annoncement, Castelvania deserves to be represented in Smash ! ( poor Luigi killed by the Death ;v; )
In short, this Smash Bros Ultimate direct was pretty cool, I can not wait for its release. But I'm a little disappointed of the absence of the Story mode and I really hope that new characters are announced, I think there are missing representatives in some licenses, for example Xenoblade (Rex, I waiting you) or others indies games (Shovel Knight in help trophy, I'm so sad ;v; )
In fact, Chrom is the echoe fighter of whow ? And the final smash of Robin will it change ? Uhum good question

The Smash website confirmed Chrom is an Echo of Roy, not Ike like many believed, but his Final Smash is completely different. As for the 'story' mode, that could be the blurred out section of the menu. We'll learn more before December 7th. And there are still more fighters(both new and Echo) to be announced.

His tagline totally should've been "Chrom finally gets his chance", big missed opportunity there. I'm however totally okay with yet another Fire Emblem character to main, if they give me Hector, Celica, and Alm I'll be heaven (poor Lyn still being an AT 
Anyway Chrom is kind of unique because he's classified as an Echo of Roy but seems like a combination of Marth/Lucina, Roy, and Ike so that's pretty cool and now since he's playable people are wondering if Robin just goes full-on Grima for the FS, not that I'm complaining mind you.

Being a part of the Smash community is hilarious. One minute everyone is lamenting Chrom's absence in Smash 4, next they're complaining about too many swordfighters and even more specifically Fire Emblem characters, and finally Chrom is here and they're all singing a new tune.
I don't care who's in the game as long as they're interesting (and not unfun to fight like Bayo and Cloud), so Chrom is alright by me.

The way I see it, back in Smash 4, people expected Chrom to be the only addition to Fire Emblem reps. They didn't care much for Robin, Lucina and later Corrin. And when the count went to 6 rather than the expected 4 (one of them is Roy FYI), people started to complain about the multiple swordsman and Fire Emblem even though that argument is BS and even hypocritical depending on the whiner's ideal fighters.
For me, I'm welcome to all newcomers including Echoes although I'm surprised that Chrom is Roy's Echo rather than Ike's despite the Up B

Chrom's moveset is more different from the original than any other Echo, and yet Lucas, Dr. Mario, Roy, Pichu, Ganondorf, and Falco are still considered their own characters.
I'm confused to say that least, but who cares? I can never say no to more new characters!

Yeah, not really. Chrom's moveset borrows a lot from Roy. It's mainly the animation and attack properties that makes him more "original" but his moveset is Echoing Roy's while borrowing a move from Ike. Plus there's not that many major differences that make him a semi-Echo compared to the clones you mentioned although it's best to look online about these clones and what really seperates them from the originals. Also we still know little about Chrom but w.e., I'm totally cool with Chrom and more Echoes in Smash plus I felt bad that he got the shaft in Smash 4.

The only video who presenting Chrom is quite short, so we know almost nothing about his moveset, but that's right this moveset looks like Roy
Anyway, I think the idea of the echoes fighters is strange, what is the point of having twice the same fighters ? he should be changed the echoes's moveset or outright should be erased, because if Chrom is the echoe of Marth, the latter will have 2 echoes ? Argh it's complicated lol

Yep. Although from what I can gather from the Smash Wiki (because some folks were dedicated to analyze the differences ASAP), Chrom so far has some attacks reminiscent to Roy, Ike and Marth's special and smash attacks. Dunno why he's an Echo of a former Echo but I will say this. He's an interesting Echo cuz he's borrowing characteristics from not just one but I'm sure around December we'll get a better explanation as to why he's mainly Roy's Echo.

Lol Well, thank the wiki and the guys who analyzed the footage of Chrom to point out the differences. Although, Chrom is still sort of an Echo of Marth since aside from him borrowing an attack or two, Roy is Marth's semi-clone still. ^^

Personally, I thought Hector can be a good new character (an axe will change a little lol) but it would be like creating a new fighter, I do not see he could be the echoe of whom

I'll gladly and quickly accept Hector as a fighter. I chose Celica initially due to Echoes being easier to develop and such plus she had a new game recently, has popularity, adds another rep for the female fighters and attacks that could be similar to Robin.
However, Hector is awesome and I like the guy. As an Echo, maybe Ike but slower and much stronger. But I'm fine with him in, Echo or not!
