I originally did this piece for Youmacon 2006...or was it 2005...? I think it was '06, but anyway, it only had a white background and I used it for prints and stickers (mostly stickers). It was the first Edward I drew (even before the Ed & Winry combination) - but it was so plain. I'm hoping the background will bring more people to my table in the future, just like InuYasha. They are, afterall, two of my most popular sellers!Related content

I like the muted color in this one and the way you have the background. While the Naruto one was bright, much like Naruto's personality so it fit very well, I think I like this one even better. Then again, Ed is one of my favorite characters.

I thought you might like this one - the darker background really 'fits' the series - and did you notice the words in behind? What they are? *GRINS* It's tough to read but they're all the 'ingredients' for a person.

While it's not a very complex background, the color scheme really ties everything together. Actually, I'd say that it's a more successful piece than the Naruto one is, as the background fits much better (then again Naruto's outfit clashes with everything) and the transition between the shoulders and the background works much better here.

I've always thought that the sucess on a piece depends on how much one likes the subject...Naruto has never been a favorite character whereas Ed has... And I actually reworked Ed's background twice, so I think the amount of time I spent on it shows too. ^_^ Thanks for your comments - I hope it sells well too!
