it isn't quite macabre and horror, but it's three a.m. and i usually don't care at three a.m., so why deviate from a time-honoured tradition? aaaaaand the title might change. because i'm brain-dead.

well, ladies, it looks like the simon's bestiary series IS going to have more than two pictures. ahh, brainstorming and doodling, it's so much fun. ...i'll admit right now that the original concept of this picture was something for me to submit to s-t-r-i-p-e-m-e, which also happened to NOT feature striped socks and emo girls. i'm beginning to hate that club for its lack of variety.

and then, heck, why not. let's draw a guy with the emo stripes ON HIS SKIN HAHAHAAAAA.

it warped pretty quickly.

BUT BACK TO THE POINT: this would be another one of the things (as partly explained in the previous deviation). not all of the things are humanoid in shape; for the most part, they look like whatever created them used all the spare parts it could get its hands on. they come from Elsewhere, which is what november calls it. hey, it works. elsewhere tends to look rather odd, especially of late with all the rules twisting around on their own. i made an attempt at portraying an area of elsewhere, right there, behind the thing. look! right THERE. hahaha. with creepy vines and standing stones, too. it's just that nifty.

SO ANYWAY. this particular thing displays more humanesque intelligence than the previous 'bath tub thing'; this one can speak perfectly coherently, and actually has a rather snappy personality, bordering on dangerous. he's one of the unofficial gang leaders... or whatever we wanna call it... he's smarter, therefore his companions tend to obey him without much questioning. this thing in particular has something funny going on with his left eye, as i'm sure you've noticed; when he feels like it, those tentacle-thingies sharpen and jab at whatever he's aiming at. they can come from his mouth, too.

this thing, lovable as he is, enjoys scaring the living daylights out of christine while threatening to mutilate her beyond recognition. he's really just a bit stressed; i'm sure that he'll warm up to you. eventually.

the things, this thing, christine, november, elsewhere, and pizza pockets are totally (c) me. you heard me.

ps-- don't worry, he is wearing pants. or a skirt. he just doesn't wear a belt. :B
