I cannot tell you how many times I could across a great comment and I'm just like where's the like button when you need it?

Maybe not a Facebook like button, but like and dislike buttons kinda like on Youtube represented by plus and minus signs or a heart or a slashed heart or something. You can fav a journal, thankfully, but I do have occasions where I wish I could like a comment.

To be honest, I wish it had a dislike button more. People post a lot of garbage on this site. Examples: "stock" photos of celebrities, anime screenshots, and low quality porn labeled as stock(not to be confused with high res tasteful nudes which are actually useful).

Problem is, 99% of deviants will HATE that. Everyone here is so anti FB and are all "I'M SO SICK OF SEEING THESE EVERYWHERE I HATE FACEBOOK AS MUCH AS I HATE JUSTIN BEIBER IT SHOULD GO DIE IN A HOLE BLAH BLAH BLAH" Imagine the tantrums everyone would throw if Facebook got involved in dA!!!! It might very well be a good thing that dA has no Like or anything involving FB, at least not on THIS site anyway, they do have a Like page on FB and a Tumblr blog, and are probably also on Twitter, but...yeah...

Although someone suggested earlier that a thumbs up/down feature might be good. And it really would be nice to have more control over the front page. Every once and a while stolen art comes up onto the front page and it's on there because it's getting attention for being stolen. If there was a thumbs up/down feature then that wouldn't happen.

Sometimes it's nice not to add to a good thing. If someone says something witty or funny, a "Like" seems more appropriate than a bunch of useless comments.

there r times where i wish there was a "dislike button" cause on some peoples artwork i dont wanna be mean but i just want them to know nicely i dont like it
