This is...not the picture I planned to paint. I was going for a bookmark-sized close-up of Fef, all oil-painty and jewel-toned, predominantly green with maybe some seaweed or something...and then this happened. I'm not really sure how. I might take another pass at it, but apparently I am not capable of giving myself art direction.Anyway, this is Feferi from my girlband AU, because I wanted to make it clear that her tattoo is ridiculously ornate up close.
Title from Bic Runga's 'Listening for the Weather.' Full lyric that I wanted to title it: 'tomorrows keep on blowing in from somewhere.' Blasted dA char limit...it constantly thwarts me. The deviation I submitted yesterday was supposed to be titled 'kid, you're hooked, heavy as lead.'

I am totally fine with your lack of art direction if it means you're whipping up more of that AU stuff. Again, I like the textures you used on her hair and the background and sweet damn the design on that cuttlefish (just sort of assuming it's one, welp!) It's ornate. It's nice.
Any particular reason for the blue ink? Or ..just because?

I...think it's a cuttlefish? I didn't actually use any references and I'm not 100% sure what cuttlefish look like so it sort of morphed into a generic squid-like thing. It's blue because I secretly think monochrome blue or black tattoos look the coolest of all tattoos, and I thought black would make Fef look too metal for her personality.
My reasons may be arbitrary and wildly subjective, but they exist!
