it most definitely is! i've always loved the ending and i made a chalk drawing of this for valentines cards, but i really wanted to do a painting of it too! i'm such a dork!

It's beautiful.  It's impressive you were able to achieve the effect with chalk!  So few folks on DevArt seem to work with traditional art methods since we've all adapted to digital inks and colors.  I appreciate your work on creating something distinctive.

thanks a lot! it's wonderful to hear! i tried dabbling in digital years ago, but i just got mad and kept saying 'i can do this sooo much better and faster with color pencils (or paint, or chalk)!' yep.. just couldn't do it.. so almost everything i do is traditional with occasional digital backgrounds or tweeking.. there is just so much to work with and it's fun to get messy with it!

I think "traditional" and Nintendo go hand-in-hand.  Gotta love that crayon-color effect on the original Yoshi's Island game!
