Yes! Yes! It's exactly the way I wanted it to be!

First off, I'll start with the lighting. The predominantly dark colours, dark enough to make it hard to see some of the body lines, contrasts well with the bright glow of this magic. It's a good take on changeling magic, too, with how it seems to be between green flames and stark and bright outlines. I really like how this limited lighting is reflected on the hooves and the body. It shows just enough of what's necessary and keeps enough in the dark. It makes the holes in the legs produce even more of an impression. And of course, the lighting brings the focus to the part that is lit up, which is the head and the chest, and centered on the mouth. This new iteration of the hood also helps shift accent to the face.
The head, with its shape, its eyes and that maw, is perhaps the most impressive part of the picture. The Zoanthrope reference picture shows here, in a great way. The fleshy membrane-like part adds a lot to the impression, and the small sharp teeth look deadly and menacing. These eyes are properly angry and even hateful, and all together the expression makes for a proper "war face", just what I wanted to see in him.
Finally, I really like what you did with the wings. They look properly transparent and even properly tattered without being overly damaged. Nice job!

Overall, I'm very happy with the picture. It's a great establishing shot for the character. Well done!
