Very nice work, dear Pat.

There is a place with two moons. It is a long way from here. About 2,000 light years, perhaps. But there, the oceans cover the world and two moons light up the sky at night, and two suns shine during the day..

I was gardening all day, m'Lady. Sorry to step out like that. We had 32 cantelope sets and 47 squash sets to put in today. I finished cutting in the bed and graded the land for proper runoff, as the rains are coming tonight. We set the little green babies in and watered them down. We then finished tidying the fence row behind all the border gardens so Larry could mow around everything easily without disturbing anything.

The sod I took off the lawn to make this new raised bed was transplanted along the back side of the Manor for proper land profiling, and also around a tree near the outdoor lodge/storage building/shop behind the house. I also installed some around a fire cook stove I am building from stacked stone on a cement block footer which is already in place at one end of the lodge.

While I dug in and edged the squash and melon garden, Phillip put in about thirty sets of varigated impatients, mountain lantana and other wonderful things out near the sanctuary. It is very colourful now. The bees will go nuts with delight in the mornings as those grow up to be nice little bushes, with the irises growing behind them all around the stately maple tree.

So here I am before turning in. Blessings and good karma be yours, aye. Major huggage, swiss lisses, cuddles and smoochesm and lots of unconditional love, dear Pat. And when you can, tell me how your day went....

Namaste.

Greetings, m'Lady.

Here I am again, near the end of another long but enjoyable day. It was a busy one, and highly productive, too. I finished the border behind the fence where the pole beans, sunflowers, squashes, cantalopes, cucumbers and bush beans live. I also worked on the border inside the yard. The buttercups near the pole beans are really growing fast. The butterfly bush near the tomatoes is coming back to life from the shock it got during the transplant.

Whilew I was working on the borders of the fence garden and doing some street repair work in between the hills of the main garden, Phillip and Larry brought in more lantanas, impatients, and other beutiful stuff. They set them in and we watered everything down, giving the new sets some extra juice in the form of new potting dirt and some liquid Miracle Grow solution. I carried about 50 gallons of this around, 5 gallons at a time, as we watered the whole flower collection, including the previous sets from the days before.

Right after we finished with all of that, the rain came. It gave everything a good gentle soaking. Talk about perfect timing! So now all the green things are very happy, aye. Oh, and Larry and I also did the monthly grocery shopping run between the two garden work sessions, one in the morning and the other evening. We did the food run in the middle of the day, came home, and stocked the pantry. After the garden work, some folks came over to make music. We played about three hours after supper. So now, I am pooped. I will turn in soon, sure to fall straight to sleep, perhaps to dream...

Namaste, dear Pat. Blessings and good karma be...

this is lovely.. you had a great day i see. mine was very busy.. running to different official places.. to change address etc. of course.. nothing went smoothly LOL.. but i am used to that. in this way hungary remains me a lot of asia.... first.. NOTHING goes - with authorities .. then you start haggling.. and suddenly.. surprise, surprise, a solution is found! i went to 3 places.. and three times it was the same procedure LOL.. i have a fun morning

do you have hothouses where you grow all your flowers ?

it is still raining here.. i have never seen this part of hungary so green before... i will make a golfcourse here soon.. hahaha

good night to you richard. i am sure you will sleep well after all this work!

Well, m'Lady, here we are crossing wires as we go, aye. Yep, I slept well last night and will again this night. We worked in the lawn and garden all day today, setting in more flowers and doing more bordering. The fence garden is huge now. And I created a compost heap.

We have a number of greenhouses around here. Flowers are easy to get in most stages of developement, from seed all the way to mature plant. We like to get the little sets and watch them grow up. It is also easier to plant and train them to grow the way you want.

I hate messing with anything that has red tape wound all up in it. This includes anything to do with government, doctors, lawyers, salesmen, preachers, etc. If it wears a coat and tie, run away, run away...

I am glad your land is green. Come beautiful rain. Wet our plants and make them grow! Sleep well, my darling friend. Blessings and good karma be. If you feel hugged in the night, that will be me, holding on tight, listening to the thunder and watching the lightning, keeping you safe and sound...

Namaste.

Send some of that rain over here. Water gets heavy after you have to carry about a hundred gallons...

It is in the 90's here during the day and mid 60's at night. The rain has become sparse. The dry season comes...

Thanks much, dear Pat. I shall have no problem doing that. We have been working fairly hard lately...

yeah.. as of sunday temps should be going up into the high 90s here too. at the moment.. unbelieveable. had to drive my friend to a car dealer today and there is so much water.. fields have turned into shallow ponds with just a bit of dry land in the middle... island-like..... the subterranean reservoirs are full.. the water cannot run off any longer.

No rain, dear Pat. I carried 20 gallons of water and ten gallons of liquid miracle grow solution. We watered the established plants with the plain stuff, then got the little babies with the other stuff. It is hot and dry, but a front IS moving in, so by the weekend, things should se some wetness. How go things on the other side of ye aulde pond, me bonnie Lassie, eh?

oh.. we still have/had rain today.. the weatherforecast predicts hot temps as of sunday.. going up to the high 90's, low 100's ... so that'll be good too for the plants. they do need sun now. i bought three carnation plants today.. the smallish kind that makes 'pillows' and is heavily scented. a deep, velvety red, a pale yellow one and a red-yellow type.. love these things.. and they grow nicely too. tomorrow is market but i wont go.. i think i will allow myself to sleep just a little longer tomorrow morning. later.. at 1 pm i will meet my doc - he is our gp, originally from ghana, speaks perfect english ... anyway.. he might have a house for my mom-in-law.. we have to look at it tomorrow. tonight.. i think i will watch a bit of tv. it is cold inside the house but i will not light the furnace.. NO.. not in JUNE.. for pete*s sake LOL

Well, my hands and feet do get cold in the winter due to bad circulation brought on by years of playing music, but at night, when I sleep, all my clothes come off and I get under some nice thick blankets. In no time, it is like Florida under there. So if you did likewise and we cuddled up close enough, we would stay all toasty in the night...

The rain came last night but it was not enough. It did get the ground wet, just not deep down. We had to carry water buckets. Today we will do it again, though evening storms are forcast. Give the hounds some love from across the pond. And the goats, too. Be well, m'Lady. Many hugs, cuddles, and Swiss Kisses.....

The rain came today. The garden is nearing maturity in places. Not much to do today out there so I took the day off. I piddled around, cleaning inside, weeding outside, but no water bucket work today. No edge work. All done.

Glad ye found a plavce for the mom-in-law. I wish her happiness there. Sleep ye well and have a good day upon the 'marrow, m'Lady. Give the ones around you our combined energy, especially our four legged friends, aye.
