It's a beautiful idea, the pose and composition are perfect, I like how the eyeliner draws the attention to her eye

And obviously your advice is valued! I shall look into it and see what effect it gives. In my opinion and eye, it shows them as equals, not just the lion being higher up in society because she protects her cub and the gates (or wherever she is) Thats just the way I saw it.

This is a very nice shot, very nice idea. A shot of the lion infront and your friend behind might work as well. Excellent picture. The eye liner really draws you to her eye.
