Ok how in the world do you make a pony facing the other way...and make the group scenes for the comic? (I really want a certain scene...but have struck out on finding a commission....and can't for the life of me figure out how to make a scene with a group and them facing different directions....)

Haha! That's tricky! Look for a transform tool to mirror-image ponies.
I search for images, and cut and paste 'em into the page. If you look carefully, you'll see that all the OCs are kinda locked into profile body shots through the Pony Creator.
For example, look at panel 6 of "Do Not Fret," where they're all sitting around the table eating burgers. This panel came out exceptionally well. Celestia, Daring, and Dash are all pre-existing images. The Nings are from Pony Creator. The rest is just careful use of layering and posing and props to create a natural-looking scene.
The next panel features the Nings, again from Pony Creator, but posed differently and zoomed in.
If I need something in particular, I'm not above pasting a pony head and tail over another pony in the pose I need.
For example, the shot of Cyberia fleeing from Cerberus was done like that.
And because there aren't that many pictures of Daring Do, I ran with the idea that she's a master of disguise, and sees the pith-helmet-and-vest as a costume she sometimes wears when she wants to be recognized. That lets me use Dash recolors.

I'm itching to do a MLP scene (or find someone I can commission) but was going crazy trying to figure out the flipped direction thing (PC2 does let you turn their heads...but not the body)

Thankfully I never experienced the board of education or the cane in any jurisdiction!Β And yeah, at least canes and straps etc only do superficial surface damage to the skin (or at least they should!!)... the paddle can quite easily break bones and burst blood vessels.Β Hmmm... I try to be a bit careful on this subject, because while I believe smacking has a place sometimes, it is so easy to go too far, especially when tempers are flaring.Β (Plus it's one of those subjects where you can quite easily find yourself lynched if you tell the wrong person)
As for Southern culture, the last time I was in Texas, back in 2013, my friend took me to the International House of Pancakes (with restaurants in the USA and Canada!) and, because I wasn't familiar with the menu, I asked for a bit of assistance... the waitress walked away, then a minute later, came back with her colleague and asked me to speak again.Β When I did (in a strong British accent), she quite literally did a fangirl squee!Β My poor friend was so embarrassed!

Yeah, not the place to discuss it, but for the record I'm neither for nor against, but -- if parents, teachers, or whatever are given power to physically punish a child, they should darn well be trained how to do it safely! It's unacceptable when local BDSM clubs know and CARE more about safety than people entrusted with childcare.

The real-world reason is Hasbro thinks queens are perceived as evil, and princesses as good.
The Equestrian reason? Here's my own "head-canon:" the central figure of the Equestrian religion is a queen (or king, as in the Judeo-Christian tradition.) Celestia and Luna are that figure's daughters or descendents (like the emperor and empress in Japan's Shinto,) and calling oneself a king or queen (as King Sombra did) is considered blasphemous hubris.
