Yeah, that much is painfully obvious; while it might be debatable whether or not Easty as a character is a truly "bad" person, it's pretty clear that she's most definitely not a "good" one(that and her impatience when it comes to diplomacy, as well as her general attitude towards others she pre-judges as "bratty," is going to spell certain doom for both her nation and her subjects someday).
You say that, but even if Easty did truly "know" that pissing-off Celestia was the absolute least intelligent thing to do, the fact that she still went through with spanking Equesria's ruler shows she's willing to risk a war she couldn't possibly win for the sake of a few short minutes of personal satisfaction...

I notice upon closer viewing that the redness on PinkyPie's butt is lighter in all the panels until after she gets her spanking. Then she's VERY red ! Nice job remembering to do that, honey ! :3
I luv the trapping in the wall style bondage, sorta like a homey pillory, which of course leaves her glowing red ass on display for everyone to look at and learn from. Having to hang there and be humiliated by all the attention outside while her buttocks are throbbing in soreness, daaaaamn that's a serious turn on !
