Description
I say fantasy because I think I hold a more fantastic view of pirates than historical. Such as, while I know that there were female pirates, such as Anne Bonny, I doubt there were many. But female pirates are cool, goddamnit.

I wasn't really trying to make her look pretty, like I usually do, but I wasn't trying to make her ugly either. My mom thinks she looks ugly.

My shading didn't scan well, but there's enough of it that I didn't want to erase my pencil. I'm going to add some light coloring sometime with watercolors and make this even more mixed media than it is.

References: a random ad in a magazine gave me the idea for the pose, and pictures of my dove Yum Yum and looking at my own hand helped the rest. As for the outfit design, it's based on my character on Puzzle Pirates (puzzlepirates.com). Go play now!
