Description
I am not sure how this happened but some of this tree's roots are in the ground and then there is a second set of roots half way up the trunk and they are out of the earth completely and suspended in mid air. The effect is surprisingly beautiful creating the shape of a bowing minotaur! This has got to be one of the most precious of nature's beautiful sculptures...so incredibly strange and wondrous!Related content

Looking at the terrain, I almost wonder if there may have been a mud slide that bent the tree when it was young and pliable. Maybe the roots started to take hold were the soil was in contact like a willow does. Then later the soil washed away leaving the exposed roots. Or maybe I am over thinking it. Either way it is beautiful!
