NP. It saddens me to see less and less of Clerith art on here. It's like Cloti fans are dominating Deviantart. I really think that Cloti is so popular in America than Japan, which is due to people not accepting another culture. That culture, being Japan and their viewpoint on the afterlife. Japan favors reincarnation a way of thinking that Americans can't accept. It's a subject that fascinates me, but I don't really explore it. Anyways, Japan believes just like the Final Fantasy theme, that love can overcome the barriers of death. That in itself is something that the Western world has a hard time accepting, since we tend to view things differently than our Asian counterparts. Final Fantasy since the start of I think maybe FF6, is where they got their purpose, or game theme they would follow for the rest (okay for the most) Final Fantasy games, that's about tragic love stories and the fact that love can overcome death. Like SE said in some quotes I've read, Death wasn't a problem for Aerith, since she was must exist, Sephiroth will exist also. I think that's either from Lifestream White, or Maiden who Travels the Planet, which is canon by the way haters!!! I think that if Tifa were to die instead, Cloud seriously wouldn't be too emotional over her death, since she wasn't really there for him in the first place. If Aerith had lived in ACC, Cloud would no longer be single, which is also something haters tend to overlook, the fact that Cloud is still single before and after ACC. Sure Cloud can become OCC, and want to bang a piece of tail he sees, and against his will mind you, but the real Cloud doesn't, since he continues to find a way to be with Aerith again, he really wanted to die too during ACC, and even Tifa couldn't bring him out of his depression. Back to Tifa supposedly dying, instead of Aerith, Yes, he'd be sad, but the SE staff knew Cloud and Aerith shared a special connection, and knew that players would cry with him when Aerith died. Nomura mentions the fact during an ACC interview, That Cloud is able to hear, see, and feel Aerith, even though she's dead. (notice that he says, how ONLY Cloud can do this) This is because, they share a very intimate connection, where Aerith lives on inside Cloud's heart, and they will never be apart. It kind of makes me laugh, at how some Zerith and Cloti fans, if not all of them, get so pissed off and try to deny that Cloud is able to see, hear, touch, and basically be able to be with Aerith, because it crushes their theory, that "Cloud can't be with Aerith, because she's dead." excuse, and yet they are perfectly fine with Cloud being able to see, hear, and touch Sephiroth. Even though most forget that Aerith is a Cetra and can be able to do these things as well, such as gather the positive energy from the planet, and be able to manifest in front of Cloud. Before I ramble, on I'm just sooooooo sick and tired of the hatred that Clerith fans get, and how little we appreciate this pairing over on the Western side of the world.
