You wouldn't regret it allthough it seems easier than it is.. Takes some practice to get the focus and everything right..
You might have noticed that I didn't get the focus perfect here too..

Yeah. I know focusing is different for IR - the older 35mm lenses tend to have an exta focusing mark for it.

I don't see much wrong with yours, though.
