Wheeeee!I had changed my wallpaper to be the Korra promo pic and after staring at it for a few weeks I decided to mess with some stock photos...
And then this afternoon I decided to make the cosplay
I got incredibly lucky with the local thrift store (and my inability to sew) and after a few hours this was my test shot that I manip'd into the whole thing.Korra has the comfiest clothes ever! My hair is too long but ah well, I'll get it cut later I guess.

The cosplay in the picture was a lot of kinda-altered thrift clothes, which was okay at the time but didn't have the exact fit I wanted. The 2.0 version is more handmade with spandex/nylon for better fit on top and truer materials like suede/fur.

I'm doing a Korra cosplay as well and I'd like to know if you have any tips on what to do or what materials to use while making the costume that may be helpful or any sort of advice so that it comes out looking great as yours. it would greatly appreciate it

I got great advice from people about going to thrift/secondhand stores first. Not only can you sometimes find clothes that need minimal adjustment for cosplay, but I really really love the wear and tear you find on the fabric (as well as unique textures). I think it's really important to have cosplay clothes that look like they've really been worn a lot, not just freshly sewn.

It's a really good job too--they came out with a line test for the show, in case you haven't seen it but I'd bet anything that you have already. I'm really excited for this season and I hope they start off on as clean a slate as possible as to not gamble with how brilliantly the last arc ended.

They already finished the voicing too and Dante Basco was in it. The guy who played Aang's voice has probably matured so they may have used an entire new actor. I don't know how old Tenzin is but I'm just excited to see what they do with it too.
