You know, I've always thought that if Kamiya had supervised the other DMC games (not directed, just supervised like he did with Bayonetta 2. He actually rarely directs sequels to the franchises he's directed.), if Dante's sword of choice would have been Alastor instead of Rebellion. Rebellion is a cool sword and all, but I think Alastor was originally intended to be his sword of choice. (since it appears in just about every cutscene in the first game)

Of course, she's got Sparda now. I'm a little surprised Dante never borrowed it for a final battle. I am kinda curious what Dante does with his Devil Arms after each game. He has to put them somewhere. Would be interesting if he had a room in his shop filled with display cases full of artifacts and weapons from his past adventures.

so Apparently the Alastor in Viewtiful Joe is the same as the spirit inside the sword. devilmaycry.wikia.com/wiki/Bla…
Apparently he's pissed off at Dante for forcefully throwing him into a Marrionette and not apologizing and not taking him with him in Devil May Cry 2 to Dunmary Island. (I'm guessing Kamiya enjoys jabbing at DMC 2 a lot because of how meh it was)
