Hope I've got this isn the right category....Done is 3DS and extensive post production in PS. It is supposed to represent a living heart conected to a machine via the pipes. What is being pumped round I don't know but it appears to be red
Hope you like it and as ever comments are most welcome, especially those that contain some feedback in how I can improve

The heart looks like it is being poked, or injected with metal. Mecury maybe. Can't get this odd feeling out my chest now.
Have you thought of using glass pipes?time consuming though.

Yeah - I'm thinking of doing a version 2 of this.....my abilities have grown since I did this and there are a number of things I want to add to enhance the feeling of the piece

I totally love this one..... I could see it was a heart and vains (yesh...pipes) in the thumbnail
I adore how you blended everything, and the puls line in the background makes a really nice effect!

Exellent, this is a very strong and striking piece, The work on the heart itself is particulaly exellent

I love this sort of thing... anything organic but with mechanical parts, too... like Giger's biomechanoids.
The heart looks slightly man-made due to it not being completely smooth, which is good. Like phaze87 said, as the heart seems lit from below, it could do with some glow on the underside of the pipes.
I'm just practising my 2D at the mo. cos I suck at it, too.
