It is my opinion that humanity as a hole spends to much time preoccupied about the after live and creation. That time would be better spent uniting and caring for the world we live in.Making certain that the problems we face as a species are dealt with and corrected instead of spending our time thinking some god is going to save us......let as save ourself.The original tittle for this piece is "Don't waste your time building temples for your gods" but it was to long.
I hope people enjoy it and feel free to give their opinion'

i feel it is likely that we were taught this preoccupation, by those who in our history called themselves the 'gods'. our culture(west or east, any culture that has survived into modernity, even many that did not. only what we now call 'primitive' or indigenous cultures seem to have mostly escaped this influence, though not entirely) is based upon such preoccupations, and it is through this that we have been kept under control. even in short lifetimes, people will unite and rebel against cruelty and unfairness, if fear of death(even when death is a mystery) is the only consequence, but fear of eternal damnation is a harder pill to swallow. Β theΒ Architect of the Universe would have no need of such self-validation as worship, sacrifice or total servitude and submission, these are things that human minds desire, and it is my feeling that very human minds impregnated our culture with them.Β
Β i agree with the sentiment that abandoning religious ideology would free our minds and allow the people of earth to unite, and solve the problems we face today before we face extinction. Β there are still many with great wealth, power and influence who would lose what they have if this were to happen, and these factions still perpetuate suffering and ignorance to maintain this fear across the globe, and thus maintain control. Β
