This is not that bad, your coloring is top notch. But if I were you, I'd work on facial structures more. Minus the mouth size, the two characters basically have the exact same faces, and expressions. Here is a basic tutorial on expressions: [link]

Also, try soem different nose, face and eye types. Obviously you're drawing animé style, but a good artist can draw two people with shaved heads, closed eyes, no clothes, and un colored in, and you can still tell them apart.
