Description
I found a faster to saw apart the resin mini figures.
I used my soldering iron with a hot knife attachment for the foam pumpkin carving) to "cut" through the resin.
And...amazingly! ...I didn't stab or burn myself once!
(but then when packing it to take to the Modeler's Club meeting, I stabbed it right through my finger.
...Wow! that was a lot of blood!
(I strangely don't bleed that much.)

So, I make a preliminary guide saw on either side, and then let the hot knife and gravity do the rest.
takes a lot less time than the sawing does.

(and yes, that hot knife has seen far, far better days.
the tip/blade has jammed itself at that angle, and I cant unscrew it.)
