Description
No matter what they say,I love Gion.
Even in my sleep
The sound of water
Flows beneath my pillow.
Isamu Yoshii, Love Haiku
The geisha tradition of Japan has long fascinated me, so I decided to make myself a wallpaper.
I've tried to include several symbols typical of these artists' world:
The poem is in reference to Gion, which is one of the more famous geisha towns (flower towns is the correct term).
I'm probably going to make more of these.

Her name is Umeha, she is one of the most prolific Geiko (Geisha, in Kyoto dialect,) in all of Kyoto. Amazingly, she was never a Maiko (apprentice) but has risen among the ranks despite that. And she's not from Gion, she's from Kamishichicken, lol, but I can understand, she's likely one of the most stunning Geiko's of the time.

My apologies if you already know all of the above, I would look like a right fool then, lol.
