This is really amazing. I like the dark look of Set in this picture!

The texture fits well, and makes Set even more shadowy. I like this style of artwork (where the majority of the character is a solid black color, and the background sort of makes the character stand out--even though I don't know what the style is called. I've seen it done before though! Lol.)--dark looking. You did a great job on this image.

This is extremely belated, but thank you so much for your kind comment. Your words really made my day! This piece is a little old, but I'm happy that it can still have that kind of impact. I was trying to capture a feeling from a dream I had where this being made himself known. He was so oppressive and terrifying!

The texture is very fitting! I really like how you used these really thick black areas to sculpt the figure and how you interpreted that weird faceshape that Seth has.Β
The left shoulder (from our perspective) loooks a bit weird though, provided that it is supposed to look like an anatomically correct human arm - it doesnΒ΄t have to, it can be stylization. The muscle bulges out too much and the rest if the arm is completely straight.
The ornaments on his body suit him well, they give the body a more 3-dimensional feel.

Thank you for your honest feedback.

This piece is extremely old...several years old... so I do agree with your assessment! It's a bit wonky and ill proportioned, likely due to it being a very quick marker sketch (and due to my inability to really understand shoulders at the time!). I'd like to re-do this one someday...thank you for the reminder, and pointers.

The best to you!

What is Set? A dog? An anteater? a Fennec Fox?

There's a lot of debate as to what exactly Set was, as far as animal representation. Theories stretch toward everything from Jackal, to camel, to anteater... even his own animal altogether!

I can say though, that when I saw him in a dream before... whatever he was, he was HUGE and very fierce.
