Except for the 9 friends i had in this costume and outside the costume letting me sew bark to them.
Me in the cosplay. And Yes! It is made of real wood.

Impressive shot! I love how the green complements the yellow, almost mango, trees in the background. It really emphasizes the nature and spring elements in the spriggan just by contrast alone. The costume work is also very nice.

How much time did you need to finish it?

the bark took about 6 months to collect and i got 3 trashbags full and i still needed more. and all the gluing and sewing-gosh. id say 8 months. I had to have someone in the bodysuit to sew things to it and keep a human form. So every weekend and once during the week? working all day.

What kind of support did you use to attach the wood? And what kind of glue?

Im glad you like it!
I used real leather and felt, both whole punched so it could get sewn to the bodysuit. The glue i used? Uhm i sued a mix of glue. I used e6000 for the mask (that stuff is toxic so if you use it, wait MONTHS before you wear it on your face) for the bodysuit i used mostly white caulk. I painted it black if it showed through in any way (since the bark has wholes and whatnot in it occasionally) or covered it with the green tule. Using caulk is not a permanent fix on the moving joints (knee part, elbow part, loin part). e600 is much better for that kindof attaching.
