An outtake is something that was removed from a show. She was saying that this was a scene from the episode, but it wasn't aired.
See the context now? See recognized the scene, just joked around that this was done by the actual producers as a way to complement the artist.

So, I didn't misunderstand what she meant.
No matter if the purpose was to flatter the artist, it falls rather flat because it doesn't make sense. This is something that actually happened in the show, so it can't really be an outtake.
Now if it were something that didn't actually happen, then one can easily joke about it being an outtake as a way to compliment the artist.
Right now, this compliment makes as much sense as saying "I thought it was a photograph!" (which is another form of flattery that doesn't make sense here).

Also, can male ponies see their own snouts? I spent way too long pondering what that would even look like. How do you draw a nose from a first person POV? blurry transparent triangle?

Well, humans can also see their own nose and eyelashes. The mind erases this from the view, though. That's why we don't see our nose and eyelashes normally.
So what you drew here is totally legit (minus the bucket).

yeah, but does the human nose stick out as far as a pony's? I think not. As an example, imagine an elephant trying to erase its trunk from its mind. An elephant never forgets, and for good reason. it's nose is too big, just like Big Mac's!
Also, mind f*'d, I didn't realize how much of my vision is obscured by my eyelashes if I actually work to focus on them.

And yeah, you should try lightly touching your eyelashes with your finger. You'll see how far your finger hovers from your eye. You'll feel yourself touching your eyelashes, but you don't see it! Creepy!

probably not, use the idea if you like, I just like to make ridiculous theories and jump to wild conclusions when It's late and I'm exhausted. But you know what? I might. Just because that might actually be a decent activity for me when I'm out at sea (I work on boats, good entertainment is tantamount to my enjoyment of my time and fanfic might be as good as any).

It does have that effect. Sometimes it's hard to watch scenes in the actual show and not view them in a more suggestive way. This was one of those scenes, Twilight flank up under the discerning gaze of Big Mac. Good thing that those moments just pass by unnoticed by the more innocent viewers.
